My name is Napualani Niau-Puhipau, I am this yearʻs Secretary for Lokalia Pali Foundation. I hope you all had a wonderful and happy holiday with family and friends and looking forward to a blessed, healthy and prosperous new year..

As we start anew, Id like to thank all of you, our Ohana and friends for supporting us with Cousin Pammie’s laulau, Pastele and Pastele stew fundraising project. So many helping hands and wonderful praises helped make this day a special Ohana event.

Our goal is to keep you updated on family reunions, Ohana events and projects, workshops, and geneaology . You can find us on Social media, Instagram and Facebook. Share a story or reach out and call or email one another, a simple hello! By the way, have you updated your email with us? let’s make that call, email or share a story with us.

I would like to take this time to share my project. Tutu Lokalia’s Kitchen cookbook. A cookbook of recipes handed down from generation to generation. we would like for you to share your favorites from your grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles.

In our blogs are recipes from the original cooks themselves and they will be included in the cookbook.. Are the pages in your cookbook beginning to tear? or the hand written ones beginning to fade? Let’s keep these treasurable recipes in a cookbook for all generations to enjoy. This would be the opportune time to always have your recipe in a cookbook and for your family and friends to have in their kitchens.

to submit your recipes log on to our Lokalia Pali Foundation website, click on the Ohana recipes link and there will be a google form. If you have a photo of the author you may add it. You can submit more than one recipe.

Our deadline to receive all recipes will be March 31, 2022. Let’s make this cookbook happen. Mahalo Ohana, a hui hou.
